The blessing and the curse of making comics is that you have a series of deadlines that stop you from concentrating on any one thing for too long. The good is that having a routine builds discipline. The bad is that you rarely get anything 100% in line with your vision. This page is, in my eyes, an exception – a place where we got almost everything the way we wanted it. The mythological flashback was a bit of runaway synergy that Kuurion and I stumbled into during a layout session; I’m immensely pleased with it. The more of what we see in our heads that we can get onto the page, the better a case we can make for the story we want to tell.

Yeah, I can see it in her face. Jill feels guilty because this is essentially her fault that she got herself and the others caught.

And I must say that I’m quite intrigued with this page. From what I can gather, this was nothing more than a science experiment in an underground lab gone array. Also, there was mating between humans and this race? Were they considered the first furries then?
