The Reason We’re Here

On the production end, Kuurion and I refer to this place as the Void Room, and it’s been a useful space for me to learn basic stage blocking. Something I never knew I’d need was the ability to know where the characters in a room are, relative to each other, across a string of different shots. I would write a script with a series of actions,. and then Kuurion would draw the layout and show me how I was unintentionally asking for something impossible. The Void Room, with its very basic props, ended up being the place where I’d get the most stuff wrong (especially in that group scene earlier). I think I’m getting better, which is good, because I think this is the last time the Void Room appears.

    You’re back! You’re back! You’re back!!!

I’m excited! Glad to see everything up and running again.

Yep, glad to have you back. I find it easier to follow on here than via the Patreon updates.

It took me a while to find the Patreon updates. I didn’t think to look there. Eventually I googled the comic to see if they were up under a new webpage, and found the Patreon.

And we have a chance to comment and discuss.

Link to the Ask Uber Cast Blog redirects to the most current comic page.
Link to the Patreon works fine.

That snow leopard kinda looks like Tila Sunrise from Las Lindas.

Knowing the Katbox community, that was probably intentional. ^^

One of the better comics on this site has finally returned! I was actually waiting for it to re-appear. Keep up the good work!

Glad to see you guys are back! Huzzah!

Now I get the feeling that Kylar is going to face a major moral dilemma that’s going to turn his world upside down. I’m curious as if he’s going to do what he knows to be right, or if his adherence to the law will cause him to leave his friend to a grizzly fate? It’s possible that saving Rourke will be his way of “repaying” him? Maybe this will have something to do with how he meets up with our intrepid band of heroes? It’s possible his love for Joel will be the defining factor in whatever path he takes…

    Also “Oh hi, Tila!”

If I were a wagering fellow, I suspect this liquidate idea is similar to what happened to Jill the first time around, specifically being launched out into the ocean.
With this whole talk of Vortex, I’m oddly reminded of Ubisoft’s Abstergo from the Assassin Creed franchise.

That poor table, that’s no reward for all those years faithfully holding his drink!
    Interesting programmable-matter bracelet he has!
